Changing Lives

One Smile at a time

Communication and visualization are keys to helping you, our patient, feel comfortable in the chair and help understand the conditions affecting your oral health. With this technology, goopy impressions are a thing of the past as we can now show you what’s going on rather than just explaining it. With this leading technology, we are able to visually see problem areas on a screen rather than creating an impression model. Making Align Technology’s iTero Element 2 digital scanner a powerful education tool that enables our patients to visualize what we are saying as we discuss possible paths toward treatment.

Technology is at its very best when it is invisible. That’s InBrace. Space-age Material Science: InBrace Smartwires are made of a space-age material called nitinol. Referred to as shape memory wire, nitinol is truly a smart material. Not only is nitinol smart, but it has also been in use for decades in life-saving cardiac implants. InBrace Smartwires realize the full potential of nitinol by moving teeth simultaneously in all six degrees of freedom.

3D Printing

At McClaran Orthodontics, we utilize 3D Printing when making retainers and our specialty in-house aligners. By utilizing 3D printing, we avoid the gagging sensation you often experience when getting uncomfortable and sometimes painful traditional impressions. You may be wondering how this is possible, but due to technological advances in digital treatment, a scanning device is used to scan the mouth and covert the scans into digital images that are printed on a 3D device. The digital imaging is impressively precise, so Dr. McClaran knows how accurately to shape the retainer or aligner right away, ensuring that your treatment is as effective as possible.
